WHAT IS MY ZONED SCHOOL?
Please check the zone map to the right. Note that only the interior of the periphery of our zone is zoned for PS 290. Your zoned school is determined by your official home address, not your place of employment. If you live outside of the PS 290 zone, you cannot use the address of a family member, friend, or employer who lives in the zone. We verify all addresses.
To confirm your zoned school, use this helpful tool: www.schools.nyc.gov/find-a-school or call 311.
Please see below for registration paperwork. Seats are offered per DOE guidelines based on district, zone, and sibling status. NOTE: when a family is offered a spot, we can email or provide a copy of the necessary documents to complete.
The following documentation is required for registration. There might be additional DOE forms that our school will provide.
In brief, you will need to provide:
(1) Proof of address x 2, such as lease and recent utility bill;
(2) Proof of age, such as passport or birth certificate;
(3) Completed Health Form (attached below) AND full immunization history from your pediatrician;
(4) Four Department of Education forms (attached below);
(5) Emergency Contact Form (attached below) - not needed for spring pre-registration but required before the start of school.
